ABOUT THE MUSIC
Born out of a need for Bluegrass in the Chelsea area, Thunderwüde is comprised of George Merkel, Wesley Fritzemeier, Jason Dennie, and Tommy Reifel. They got their start as a traditional bluegrass outfit and morphed into playing originals from Jason as well as current pop hits in a bluegrass style. The repertoire expanded to range from Bill Monroe to Townes Van Zandt to some choice soundtrack selections.
ABOUT THE VENUE
This is a house concert—we do our best to fit as many people as we can and still be comfortable. Because space is limited we require reservations, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you’re coming, and if you find you can not come, please let us know so we can give your seat to someone else.
We host house concerts to provide an opportunity for folks to enjoy quality music in an up-close and quiet listening environment. While we like to encourage inter-generational activities, we ask that you use your judgement about bringing children.
Directions & Parking
From downtown Kalamazoo, follow Michigan Avenue east. Just after the King Highway turnoff get in the right lane and stay right as you pass under the viaduct (you are still on E. Michigan Ave). Straight through light at E. Main, continuing on E. Michigan — we’re in the next block on the left just past the community garden — look for yellow house with grey fence. Unlimited street parking available on E. Michigan Avenue. Use the arbor entrance from E. Michigan to house.
